The French Term Plein Air means “out of doors” and refers to the practice of painting outdoor.
Steelville Arts Council (STARCO) is proud to present the 3rd annual HSPA retreat. Over the past 12 years STARCO has hosted the annual Plein Air event in the Steelville area featuring artists from around the Midwest. We are excited to share the details of our 3rd High School Plein Air with your school.
The students will learn the fundamentals of plein air painting, working with mentors and guest artists each day. The event will take place from 9am on Friday May 31st, 2024, through 4pm on Sunday June 2nd, 2024. The High School Plein Air will be hosted at the Mound Ridge Retreat Center (moundridge.org)
